Pink hair do care

I've had pink for about two years now. I have been asked quite a few times in real life about my hair so I thought it would be a good idea to talk about everything in a post since it's quite a lot of experience I have accumulated over the time. So in this post, I'm sharing all of my experience with it.
Having pink hair was something that I had thought about for quite some time before I got them. The actual thing that convinced me to get them, was seeing my brother with green hair for the first time.I decided then to start with a simple pastel pink ombre. I tried conserving the color by redying them. The dye was leaving my hair really fast and so I needed to do it every month pretty much. For the record, I have very, very thin hair with very oily roots and very dry ends.

Maintaining the color

Researching a little bit more into maintaining pastel pink hair I came across the idea of adding the dye to the conditioner or the mask you are using every time you are washing your hair. That is probably the best tip I've ever gotten into how to maintain the color on your hair. But you need quite a good dye to keep the color vibrant. I was initially using the crazy colors one, then moved to directions and then to Nirvel. Nirvel is a brand I had never heard of before, but I stumbled upon their bright pink hair dye by accident in a store while looking for a "Directions" one and decided to give it a try. I was amazed both by the result and the longevity of the color. The best part of that dye is it colors your hair in just 3 minutes, so it's perfect for the "mixing with your hair mask and applying on the shower" tip!

Hair Salon/Hairdresser

I could easily say one of the hardest things about hair is finding a good hairdresser. I would avoid them for so long because I would always find they wouldn't listen to what I was asking of them. I have walked out of a hair salon way too many times with the wrong color, too short hair for my liking or other ways dissatisfied. If you have found the hairdresser of your dreams I congratulate you and urge you to share him/her with me.

But I find that a picture always helps and once again I use Pinterest to help me with this (here is my hair board) which has a lot of ideas on any color of hair.

Also, I always have my hair lightened in the salon and then I might re-dye them back home or maintain them. I have my hair trimmed every three months as well, which I found just makes your hair amazing, never skip a trim people it makes all the difference.

Keeping your hair healthy

Something that is really important, and that I never really cared as much before I got my hair colored, was keeping them healthy. Now I have very thin hair, with a very oily scalp and kind of dry ends since they are really long.
Before I had my hair colored I would rarely visit the hairdresser, I would apply hair mask rarely and would wash my hair with very drying hair shampoo. Also, I was in an area that the water was really hard and as a result, I always had very dry and split ends.
All this had to change as soon as I started coloring my hair. My ends became even drier now and they would show even more because the color was at the end of my hair. So I swapped my conditioner for a thick, nice hair mask and I now cut my hair every three months. I also use a strengthening shampoo with rather good ingredients but I try to keep it light. This one is perfect for oily hair and this one I really like for strengthening my hair.
I prefer using a dry shampoo every other day and giving my hair a nice hydrating treatment rather than drying them out. I really don't feel like it's healthy for them.
Also every single day I use a hair oil at the ends of my hair which has helped a lot with the health of my hair in general and I would recommend everyone to use one, no matter if they have colored hair or not.
So hydrating, strengthening hair shampoo, thick hair mask with hair dye mixed in, hair oil on the ends every day and trimming your hair every three months. This is my hair care routine and so far it has been working great.
