May beauty favorites

Better later than ever, no?

May has been one of the busiest months and June continues the same it seems, but enough with all me being busy (feel like I'm always starting my blog posts like that lately) let me talk to you about some of my favorite skincare and makeup for the month of May.

  • H&M Bronzer brush. I picked this brush to experiment with using bronzer all over my face and during the first half of May I used a bronzer like this with this brush. It was very inexpensive, really pretty, soft and hasn't lost any of its bristles so far.
  • H&M eyelash curler. This is a life-changing tool that I didn't realize how much I needed until I got it. And that's because there is no better "I look really alive, not sleepy at all and rather healthy" cheat to big flirty eyelashes. And as good as your mascara might be, it will get so much better with the help of an eyelash curler!
  • COSRX Centella Blemish Cream spot treatment. I have been using this cream for quite some time but I'm not sure I love it 100% yet but I hope to be doing a more thorough review on it soon. I am sure it minimizes pimples and I mainly use it overnight because it does leave some white color on the skin.
  • Kiko eyebrow fibers coloured mascara. I have used this eyebrow mascara so many times in the last few months (as you can see from any of my latest makeup looks) and I really believe it's one of the fastest ways to put some color on any sparse points on the eyebrows and putting them in place. It has a rather watery consistency but it has lasted me a very long time.
  • Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect Cleansing Cream. I really like this cleansing cream. Not only does it take off all of my makeup but I have also noticed that I have been breaking out way less while using it. More info on this on its review.
  • Mac cremesheen lipstick in Patisserie. Not sure if I've mentioned this lipstick before but I wouldn't mind mentioning it again if I did. It is just that wonderful! I think it is the perfect shade no matter what color your skin is and it feels really comfortable and looks amazing on!
  • The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% +  EGCG. I have been using this serum under my eyes every single day and night and in just a few weeks my under eye area got severely lighter. I didn't really believe that a product could really help with lightening the undereye circles but this serum helped a lot! I hope to do a detailed review of it soon!
  • The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum. I got this serum for any time that my acne might get really, really bad (cause that happens from time to time you know). The serum worked great when that actually happened a few in the past weeks. It definitely got my acne under control and helped my pores, but was a little more drying than I'd like it to be.
  • Nyx Strobe of Genius holographic stick highlighter in Electric Invasion. I picked this highlighter because of the unordinary color and because I'm always wearing a highlighter I thought I'd try something different. When I screwed it all up so I could see how much there was in it (cause I'm always curious) and it wasn't even half the packaging. I can see why it has that small of an amount but I still get disappointed when this happens. In any case, it's a really nice product that I would definitely recommend it if you like cool toned makeup.
  • Garnier Ambre Solaire Protection Hydration Lotion Sunscreen SPF 50+. As the weather got warmer and sunnier I started looking for a body sunscreen. I picked this one from Garnier as the ingredients were kind of ok and it was on discount, it leaves a slight whitecast but goes away after rubbing it on your skin. It also feels really hydrating and like it protects you all day long. I never leave the house without it.
