My skin saviors amidst the heat


It's no news that this summer has been extremely hot and especially in Greece and heat always affects my skin negatively. Along with the very strong sun, it's just a recipe for skin disaster. So how do I keep my skin as clear and healthy as possible? Here are my skincare as well as some other tips I use to keep my skin at its best amidst the heat.



Skincare

  1. Sunscreen. This sunprise mild air finish spf 50+ etude house sunscreen is my favorite one by far and it always keeps my skin clear and mat through the extreme heat and humidity. Here is my review of it!
  2. A good cleanser I believe is key in really warm weather. This Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser by Cosrx is my favorite cleanser and it's mild enough but also efficient enough. Full review here
  3. On the cleansing note, I try not to put on much makeup on, but even more importantly I think is to take off all of the makeup as soon as possible. This amazing black sugar perfect cleansing cream by skinfood has really helped my skin since it really takes off everything and leaves zero residues. Here is my review on it.
  4. One more product that I use to help my pores and in general my skin a little bit more in the heat is this amazing Witch Hazel Secret Key toner. It has helped massively with pimples and clogged skin as well as with pores and I will be doing a review of it soon. 
  5. One very annoying thing with heat and summer is under eye discoloration, I just feel that it is way worse in the summer. I really like using my favorite eye cream as well as the Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG eye serum by the ordinary and I feel like they have really helped my under eye discoloration.
  6. A good face moisturizer I believe is also crucial in really warm weather. Not too heavy but also moisturizing enough to help with my skin's needs. This Chock Chock Green Tea Watery Cream by Tony Molly has been amazing to my skin lately and I can't wait to review it.
  7. A sheet mask that has stayed in the freezer for a few hours is just what my skin needs after a long day in the heat and the sun. This Midnight Blue Calming Sheet mask by dear, Klairs is perfect for this kind of a situation. 

Lifestyle

  1. Drink tones of water. I mean that's a given for any time, but I believe that with the heat of the summer it's just even more important not just for your skin but also for your body general. 
  2. Try to keep cool and out of the sun. As much as we need vitamin D I believe that keeping sun at a safe distance during summer is vital. 
  3. Try to keep your skin cool. Either with cooling mists or masks I try to keep my skin cooled off as much as possible not using the AC because I feel like it's a little too drying.
